Ways to support
These are voluntary contributions to keep Whenary running on our terms: no ads, no surveillance calendar, no selling your schedule. You get concrete thank-you perks, not an empty donation. Personal Supporter and Host Pro are separate tracks; see the comparison below before picking a plan. Launch pricing comes from the live server; standard rates apply after the early-supporter window.

Thank-you perks (Personal Supporter)
Personal Supporter unlocks these account perks only. Host Pro organizer tools are a separate track (or choose the bundle for both). We frame support as voluntary funding first; the perks are our thank-you, not a paywall on privacy or dignity.
Higher limits
Thank-you headroom for platform storage (5 GB vs 250 MB free), event photos, uploads, and rate limits, so your support maps to real infrastructure cost.
Opt-in badge
If you want others to know you back the project, show a small supporter badge in chats and member lists.
Event history
Full revision history on events you organize (free accounts still get a short preview).
Guest email headroom
More automated guest reminder emails per month; mail is a marginal cost we fund with support.
Public RSVP branding
Optionally hide the small “Powered by” footer on guest pages you host.
Free vs supporter limits
The free tier stays genuinely useful for calendar-first use. Supporter limits add headroom for photos, attachments, and event memories (see table). Values come from the live API; access is granted after payment or gift redemption.

What stays free

Gifts and redeem
Buy for someone else via checkout (gift mode), or redeem a code you received.
Privacy and badge
Paid plan access is server-granted after payment or gift redemption. Others only see a Personal Supporter badge if you opt in under Settings. Time-limited plans expire unless renewed; lifetime and pass durations are described at checkout.

Whenary stays useful without paying. If it earns your trust, a voluntary contribution helps us keep fighting for a calendar that respects you.
